The global franchiser RE/MAX reached a big milestone this month, now boasting an expansive network of 100,000 real estate sales associates worldwide.
By the end of 2014, RE/MAX had 98,010 agents worldwide, but in just the first few months of 2015, the real estate franchisor has attracted more than 2,000 additional agents to its franchises.
“As our agent count grew over the last three years, we knew that the 100,000 threshold would be crossed very soon,” says Dave Linger, CEO and chairman of the board at RE/MAX LLC. “It’s nice to have such large numbers, but we’re most proud of the quality agents who call RE/MAX home.”
So far for this year, as of April 1, the percentage of real estate agents joining the RE/MAX network rose by 2.1 percent. For all of 2014, agent growth had risen 5.1 percent.
“In an improving market, the most productive agents will want to affiliate with a recognized brand that supports their efforts with valuable resources and innovative technology tools,” Linger says.
RE/MAX agents in the U.S. average 15.6 years of real estate experience and averaged 16 transaction sides in 2014. RE/MAX has franchises in nearly 100 countries.
